Graduate Structural Engineer

About the role

Our client is a medium‑sized structural engineering consultancy based in Oxford, seeking a motivated Graduate Structural Engineer. The role offers the chance to develop technical skills across residential, commercial, education, healthcare and heritage projects while working towards chartered status.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the structural design of buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Produce and review engineering drawings and 3‑D models.
• Undertake site visits and inspections.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other consultants.
• Support project delivery from concept through construction.
• Work towards professional accreditation with IStructE or ICE.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn.
• Degree (BEng, MEng or equivalent) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Keen interest in structural design and engineering excellence.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Required skills

• Structural design software (knowledge advantageous).
