About the role
We are seeking a proactive, hands‑on Maintenance Operative for a six‑week temporary assignment supporting student accommodation in Oxford. You will ensure the property remains safe, well‑maintained and welcoming for residents.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
- Perform painting, decorating and general upkeep throughout shared spaces and apartments.
- Conduct health and safety compliance checks, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting inspections and legionella testing.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and safety records.
- Support inspections, events and other site activities, providing a friendly service to residents.
Required profile
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities or a similar role.
- Proficiency in painting, decorating and general repairs.
- Good understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements.
- Organised, proactive and detail‑oriented with strong communication skills.
