Graduate Teaching Assistant – English Graduate (Kingston)

About the role

We are seeking English graduates to join secondary schools in Kingston and South West London as full‑time Graduate Teaching Assistants. This temporary position starts in September 2026 and offers hands‑on classroom experience while supporting student learning and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils across Key Stages 3‑5 in and out of the classroom.
• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions to improve literacy and overcome learning barriers.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, delivery and classroom management.
• Provide targeted support for students with SEND where required.

Required profile

• Degree in English or a related subject.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring) is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in education and supporting young people.

• Pay: £95‑£120 per day, dependent on experience, qualifications, training and responsibilities.
