Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Croydon)

About the role

We are partnering with an outstanding secondary school in Croydon to recruit ambitious graduates as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This full‑time, temporary position starts in September and offers hands‑on experience supporting students, delivering interventions and working alongside experienced teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils individually, in small groups and whole‑class settings.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
• Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment.
• Monitor and provide feedback on student progress and engagement.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse abilities and needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and a focused learning environment.
• Help build student confidence, resilience and independence.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree from a recognised university.
• Strong academic ability and subject knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for education and working with young people.
• Interest in a future teaching or child‑focused career.
