Group Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a permanent Group Accountant to join a fast‑growing AIM‑listed PLC. The role sits within the Group Finance team and supports statutory, board and ad‑hoc reporting while driving improvements in processes, controls and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the group consolidation process, including inter‑company eliminations and reconciliations.
• Produce accurate, timely reports for board and management use.
• Maintain central group company books and perform day‑to‑day management accounting.
• Oversee daily group cash‑flow and treasury activities, enhancing existing processes.
• Support year‑end and interim external financial reporting and audit deliverables.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, senior management and subsidiary finance teams.
• Develop and implement group financial policies, procedures and internal audit processes.
• Assist with onboarding of new acquisitions and address ad‑hoc IFRS queries.

Required profile

• CCAB qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW).
• Strong technical accounting background with hands‑on IFRS experience.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to react quickly to changing priorities.
