Group Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager to lead our finance team in Blackburn. The role combines hands‑on management of day‑to‑day finance operations with strategic reporting for UK and overseas entities. You will ensure accurate month‑end close, drive system optimisation and deliver insightful financial information to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to the finance team, acting as escalation point for technical queries.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Support and coordinate the month‑end close process, meeting deadlines consistently.
• Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for UK and overseas entities.
• Produce clear, accurate financial information for senior stakeholders, including monthly board and fee forecasts.
• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with departmental stakeholders.
• Track performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Support UK and international banking activities.
• Assist with insurance renewal processes through financial data provision.
• Extract, analyse, and interpret financial data from Dynamics 365, maintaining strong data integrity.
• Act as key contact for finance systems and reporting queries, identifying and implementing system improvements.
• Provide ad‑hoc systems support across the wider business.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with Dynamics 365 and Power BI.
• Previous experience managing a finance team.
• Strong understanding of month‑end processes and management reporting.
• Experience in multi‑entity or international environments (desirable).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and solutions‑driven mindset.
• Passion for IT/technology and improving processes.
