Group Financial Accountant – Hybrid, £70-75k

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong and detail‑oriented Group Financial Accountant to join our finance team in Watford. Reporting to the Financial Controller / Group CFO, you will ensure the integrity of group financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit management and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual group consolidation, eliminating intercompany balances and delivering reporting packs for senior management.
• Prepare statutory financial statements for all group entities in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Own balance‑sheet integrity, perform reconciliations and challenge key positions.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors, managing the audit process from planning to completion.
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, support finance transformation and maintain accounting policies.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with a strong technical accounting foundation.
• Proven experience in group reporting, consolidation and statutory accounts.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and governance.
