Group Financial Controller (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are partnering with a private‑equity backed services group to recruit a Group Financial Controller. Based in London with a hybrid working model, you will be the technical leader of a finance function that is still being built, shaping standards and processes across a multi‑entity, multi‑currency organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly and statutory consolidation for a multi‑entity, multi‑currency group.
• Lead the group audit end‑to‑end, acting as the primary liaison for external auditors and managing statutory accounts and entity filings.
• Oversee multi‑jurisdiction tax and transfer‑pricing compliance, coordinating with local advisors.
• Build and manage treasury and cash‑management infrastructure across multiple territories.
• Drive financial integration of new acquisitions, from opening balance sheets to group reporting standards.
• Support private‑equity investor reporting, covenant compliance and lender pack preparation.
• Develop and maintain the group’s internal controls framework.
• Promote reporting automation and finance‑systems standardisation across the organisation.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with solid post‑qualification experience in a group or multi‑entity finance role.
• Hands‑on consolidation experience, preferably multi‑currency and multi‑jurisdiction.
• Strong technical knowledge of acquisition accounting, intercompany structures, UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven experience managing audits from start to finish.
• Familiarity with multi‑jurisdiction tax and transfer‑pricing matters.
• Experience in a PE‑backed environment is a plus.
• Self‑starter with a builder mindset, highly organised and detail‑oriented.
