Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing manufacturing SME in North Somerset. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will lead the harmonisation of finance systems and people across multiple entities, guiding the team through a period of merger‑driven transformation and rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the group consolidation process for several entities.
• Oversee core finance operations, including month‑end close, accounts payable and credit control.
• Lead a small finance team, ensuring accurate production of management accounts and variance analysis.
• Maintain cash‑flow forecasts and achieve working‑capital targets.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation adoption and system enhancements.
• Supervise financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation.
• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience in a high‑growth, multi‑entity or multi‑site manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with stock management and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead finance transformation projects.
