Group Management Accountant

About the role

We are supporting a growing, multi‑entity organisation in the appointment of a Group Management Accountant to join the central finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role is hands‑on and involves producing accurate management accounts, supporting group reporting and delivering insightful analysis of business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
• Post month‑end journals, accruals, pre‑payments and provisions.
• Own balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Support group consolidation and inter‑company accounting.
• Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Provide clear commentary and insight on financial performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and external audit processes.
• Handle stock, margin and cost accounting.
• Collaborate with operational and non‑finance stakeholders.
• Drive improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified, finalist or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant.
• Strong management accounting and month‑end experience.
• Experience in a multi‑entity or group environment is desirable but not essential.
• Solid technical grounding with confidence in balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Ability to investigate numbers and provide meaningful insight rather than just reporting.
