Group Product Manager, Acceptance Rates

About the role

Checkout.com is a global payments platform powering billions of transactions each year. We are seeking a Group Product Manager to lead the Intelligent Acceptance portfolio, driving higher merchant acceptance and lower payment costs through AI‑ and ML‑powered optimisation across the payment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate a multi‑year vision for merchant payment optimisation, aligning the portfolio around a shared strategy and roadmap.
• Balance acceptance, payment cost and fraud risk at both payment and merchant levels, identifying high‑impact optimisation opportunities.
• Own product economics, including investment cases, adoption strategy and input into packaging and pricing.
• Co‑own the Data Science roadmap, ensuring the right problems are tackled and models meet quality and safety standards.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Product Managers, establishing clear ownership, goals and decision rights.

Required profile

• Deep experience in payment optimisation, including acquiring, authorisation performance, routing and payment economics.
• Proven track record of setting strategy and delivering outcomes across multiple related products or teams.
• Successful experience leading and developing Product Managers.
• Strong quantitative judgment with experience in experimentation, measurement and financial analysis.
• Credibility with Engineering and Data Science teams working on decisioning or optimisation products.
