Group Senior Management Accountant (Interim)

About the role

This interim position supports a well‑established professional services organisation in Guildford. The Group Senior Management Accountant will provide accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis to aid strategic decisions across a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end close, including balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal postings, bank reconciliations and final sign‑off.
• Lead statutory audit preparation, VAT reporting and compliance activities while maintaining robust financial controls.
• Produce margin, variance, revenue and profitability analysis and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Oversee and develop two direct reports, collaborating with operational teams to resolve AR/AP issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes and financial systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a multi‑region, multi‑currency finance setting with strong technical accounting expertise.
• Commercial awareness and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Previous people‑management experience and effective stakeholder engagement.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills
