Guest Service Officer

About the role

The Guest Service Officer delivers friendly, passionate, and committed service to guests onboard, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and satisfaction remains high. This role requires a strong sense of humor, excellent communication, and the ability to make decisions that enhance the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Listen actively to guest concerns and provide timely assistance.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, understanding US currency and exchange rates.
• Operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, and copy machines.
• Collaborate with department heads and shipboard staff to resolve problems and negotiate solutions.
• Maintain a professional and positive demeanor in all guest interactions.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a customer‑contact role within the hotel or related industry.
• At least one year of cash‑handling experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to work onboard for 5‑6 months.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
