Head Chef – Healthcare Facility (Cheltenham)

About the role
Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Cheltenham, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead their kitchen team on a full‑time, temporary basis. You will be responsible for delivering nutritious, high‑quality meals that meet the specific dietary needs of patients and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and train kitchen staff to maintain high service standards.
- Manage stock levels, ordering and overall kitchen operations efficiently.
- Prepare and present healthy, seasonal menus while adhering to budget constraints.
- Ensure meals meet individual dietary requirements with attention to detail.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or equivalent experience.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Proven experience managing a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Passion for creating nutritious, balanced menus.
- Enhanced DBS certificate.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £19.50.
- Holiday allowance and other benefits.
- Ongoing assignment with working hours 08:00‑18:00, alternating weekends.
