Head of Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Accounting to join a fast‑growing private‑equity firm in London. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the accounting function and support the company’s internal growth and development.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee statutory and regulatory compliance for the group.
• Prepare and post month‑end journals, including accruals, pre‑payments and other adjustments.
• Manage the purchase and sales ledgers and ensure accurate cash and banking reconciliations.
• Process monthly payroll using Sage Payroll.
• Produce management accounts and provide insightful financial analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a full‑cycle accounting role, preferably within financial services or a family office.
• Experience working in a stand‑alone accounting function.
• Strong understanding of private‑equity accounting practices.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership on day‑to‑day operations.
