Head of Banking Business Execution – UK, Europe & MEA

About the role

The Head of Banking Business Execution for the UK, Europe and MEA will lead Citi’s Banking Business Execution team, supporting Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. Reporting to senior regional leadership, the role drives strategic priorities, ensures disciplined execution and upholds governance across a complex, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize and implement strategic initiatives that enhance growth, client franchise development and operational productivity.
• Act as trusted advisor to regional banking leadership, providing insights on strategy, operations and organisational matters.
• Represent banking leadership in governance forums, executive committees and cross‑functional working groups.
• Coordinate delivery of regional business priorities, aligning businesses, products, geographies and functional partners.
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, expense management, business outlooks and productivity initiatives.
• Promote innovation by leveraging technology, data and process simplification to improve scalability.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and execution excellence across the region.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience within banking or financial services, covering investment, corporate and commercial banking.
• Proven track record of driving strategic execution and managing large, geographically diverse teams.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environments and governance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior executives.
