Head of Cloud

About the role

Epos Now is looking for a Head of Cloud to lead its core platform teams in Norwich. This senior position combines hands‑on technical leadership with executive‑level collaboration, shaping the cloud strategy that powers our global point‑of‑sale and finance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow the cloud platform and infrastructure teams, overseeing recruitment, performance management and career development.
• Define and execute a secure, reliable, and scalable AWS ecosystem, driving IaC, automation and CI/CD improvements.
• Represent cloud capabilities in strategic planning sessions and advise on technical roadmaps and investment decisions.
• Build internal developer platforms and APIs (Go/Node.js) to simplify infrastructure for product teams.
• Champion high‑quality documentation, observability and continuous process optimization.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing and scaling high‑performing engineering teams.
• Deep hands‑on expertise architecting and operating cloud‑native applications on AWS.
• Strong ability to communicate cloud strategy to executives and cross‑functional stakeholders.
