Head of Communications – EMEA

About the role

As the Head of Communications for the EMEA region, you will join On’s Global Communications team in Zurich and report directly to the Chief Communications Officer. You will shape the corporate narrative, enhance brand perception and lead all communications activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies aligned with the global narrative.
• Manage media relations, building strong relationships with journalists, key opinion leaders and industry stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local government entities and community stakeholders.
• Oversee creation and distribution of press materials, ensuring consistent messaging.
• Lead crisis communication efforts in coordination with the global team.
• Organise press events and collaborate with marketing on product launches and promotional activities.
• Identify speaking opportunities at industry conferences and panels.
• Manage regional agencies to deliver communications goals across EMEA markets.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in sports, retail or FMCG.
• Excellent written and verbal English; additional European language skills are a plus.
• Extensive network of media contacts and influencers within EMEA.
• Proven experience building government and community relations.
• Strong understanding of digital and social media in corporate communications.
• Demonstrated ability to support senior executives and manage multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
