Head of Content – Editorial Lead for Education Platform

About the role

As Head of Content you will own the quality, consistency and delivery of all educational material produced by Exam Papers Plus. You will build and run an editorial operation, manage a freelance network and design production systems that support multiple concurrent programmes without compromising standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run several content programmes in Linear, with clear sign‑off gates and transparent progress tracking.
• Own the editorial standards, style guides, question type definitions and taxonomy, ensuring consistent application across all content.
• Develop and maintain AI‑assisted workflows using n8n and Claude for drafting, tagging and first‑pass quality checks.
• Build and manage a specialist freelance network, handling rates, contracts and performance within budget.
• Size and cost new programmes, communicating realistic timelines and protecting the core 11+ business.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading content, editorial or curriculum teams in education, assessment organisations or publishing.
• Track record of delivering several unrelated content projects simultaneously.
• Fluency with project‑management tools such as Linear, ClickUp and Outline, and a strong organisational mindset.
• Quality‑assurance focus with experience designing review processes and handling high‑volume detail.
• Experience commissioning subject‑matter experts and building author networks from scratch.
• Hands‑on experience creating AI‑assisted content workflows (Claude, n8n or equivalents).

What we offer

• Salary £65,000‑£75,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Permanent, full‑time hybrid role (two days a week in London office).
• 28 days’ holiday plus a 6% employer pension contribution.
