About the role

We are supporting a new Managing General Agent (MGA) that seeks a Head of Distribution to join its leadership team. You will own the distribution strategy, build broker relationships, influence product development and drive the launch of bespoke MGA products.

Key responsibilities

Build and execute a comprehensive distribution strategy.
Develop strategic partnerships with brokers across the UK.
Grow profitable Gross Written Premium (GWP).
Identify and pursue new market opportunities.
Enhance the broker trading experience.
Collaborate with underwriting to refine existing products.
Help determine future product launches.
Develop scalable distribution channels.
Support hiring and growth of the distribution team.

Required profile

Previous experience in a Business Development Manager or Development Underwriter role.
Experience within non‑standard commercial and residential property insurance.
Commercially minded, entrepreneurial and able to thrive in a start‑up environment.
Established broker relationships across the UK (highly advantageous).
