Head of Family Law

About the role

Our client, a respected law firm in Luton, is seeking a Head of Family Law to lead and grow its family department. This senior position offers the chance to shape strategy, mentor a team and manage a diverse portfolio of family matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and supervise the Family Law team, providing mentorship and support.
• Manage a varied caseload including divorce, financial settlements, private children matters, domestic abuse and prenuptial agreements.
• Drive department growth through business development, networking and strategic planning.
• Deliver exceptional client service and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in Family Law.
• Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of Family Law.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience, or a clear ambition to move into a leadership role.
• Excellent communication, client‑care and business‑development abilities.
