Head of Finance (Finance Manager / Financial Controller)

About the role

We are an ambitious property business in a period of rapid growth and integration following a recent acquisition. Reporting to the Directors, you will lead the finance function, ensuring robust controls, compliance and commercial insight to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial management and produce accurate monthly management accounts.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management processes.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal controls.
• Develop and maintain strong governance, risk‑identification and mitigation strategies.
• Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and manage AML policies.
• Present financial information clearly to directors and non‑financial stakeholders.
• Continuously improve financial processes and support operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role, preferably within property or related sectors.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence strategic decision‑making.
• Hands‑on approach, comfortable with both operational finance tasks and long‑term strategy.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire confidence across the organisation.
