Head of Finance

About the role

Prevail is a multidisciplinary risk and advisory group transitioning from a founder‑led operation to a scalable, investable platform. The Head of Finance will lead the finance function, turning it into a strategic capability that supports rapid growth, capital raising, and acquisition activity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and recommend a capital strategy, including equity, venture debt, revenue‑based finance, and working‑capital facilities.
• Lead financial scenario planning and stress testing for the Board, covering pipeline conversion, cost‑base flexibility and external shocks.
• Oversee finance activities across acquisitions – valuation, due diligence, modelling, integration planning and deal support.
• Act as the financial voice on strategic decisions, advising the Executive team and Board.
• Define the commercial finance framework, including pricing principles, bid economics and deal‑structuring guardrails.
• Drive the evolution of finance systems, processes and reporting, leveraging modern tooling and AI to improve insight and decision‑making.
• Maintain day‑to‑day finance operations: close, controls, cash management, project P&Ls and audit coordination.

Required profile

• Experienced finance leader with strong commercial fluency and the ability to converse credibly with the Board on capital and strategy.
• Proven track record in financial modelling, scenario planning and acquisition finance.
• Demonstrated capability to coach and develop a finance team.
• Passionate about adopting modern tooling and AI to increase efficiency.
