Head of Finance – Part‑Time (3 days/week)

About the role

We are partnering with an established, growing business in Bournemouth that needs a strategic finance leader on a part‑time basis. As Head of Finance you will join the senior leadership team, providing commercial insight and financial oversight while enjoying a flexible three‑day work week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function with strategic oversight and commercial direction.
• Review and sign off monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Mentor and develop an experienced finance team.
• Lead year‑end, audit and statutory reporting.
• Drive improvements across systems, reporting and processes.
• Partner with the Managing Directors and senior leadership to inform business decisions.

Required profile

• Current or recent experience as Head of Finance, Financial Controller or Finance Director.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, governance and compliance.
• Proven leadership experience within a finance function.
• Collaborative approach with confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
