Head of Financial Planning & Analysis – Business Partnering

About the role

We are supporting a large, complex and highly respected organisation undergoing a significant finance transformation programme. The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis & Business Partnering will provide strategic leadership across finance business partnering, management reporting, financial planning and performance management on an interim, fixed‑term basis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the FP&A and Finance Business Partnering functions, managing a core team of senior finance professionals.
• Provide strategic financial insight, challenge and decision support to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and performance reporting frameworks.
• Develop and enhance financial models, KPIs and management information to support strategic decision‑making.
• Act as a finance lead within the large‑scale transformation programme, ensuring FP&A requirements are embedded in new ERP systems, processes and governance.
• Drive business planning, investment appraisal and business case development across the organisation.
• Maintain ownership of long‑term financial planning models, managing assumptions, risks and opportunities.
• Build strong partnerships with operational and executive leadership teams to support sustainability and growth.

Required profile

• Commercially minded finance leader with proven ability to influence at executive level.
• Significant experience leading FP&A, management reporting and business partnering in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong programme and transformation delivery experience.
• Demonstrated leadership of high‑performing finance teams and stakeholder groups.
• Experience working in matrix environments and managing competing priorities.
