Head of Health, Safety, Risk & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Health, Safety, Risk & Compliance to lead our group‑wide governance and assurance function across a multi‑site property portfolio. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape strategy, embed robust safety frameworks and ensure statutory compliance while staying closely connected to operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Health & Safety, Risk and Compliance strategy for commercial, residential and mixed‑use assets.
• Design, implement and continuously improve governance policies, procedures and assurance programmes.
• Oversee statutory compliance areas including fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene, gas, electrical systems and contractor management.
• Lead enterprise‑wide risk identification, assessment, reporting and mitigation processes.
• Manage audit programmes, incident investigations, corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic H&S advice to the CEO and senior leadership, and produce Board‑level performance reports.

Required profile

• Commercially aware H&S professional with senior leadership experience in property, facilities or construction.
• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and GradIOSH minimum; CMIOSH highly desirable.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and embed a proactive safety culture.
