Head of Implementation

About the role

This senior position leads the delivery of complex medical equipment programmes across NHS and private healthcare sites throughout the UK. The role is home‑based with regular national travel, reporting to senior commercial leadership and working closely with clinical, estates and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, install, commission, hand over and de‑commission medical equipment under Managed Equipment Service contracts.
• Lead a team of Project Managers and specialist implementation professionals.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with contractual commitments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS clients, manufacturers, contractors and senior stakeholders.
• Monitor commercial performance and drive continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of UK‑based experience in NHS, private healthcare, Managed Equipment Services or related healthcare engineering environments.
• Extensive healthcare engineering background with proven medical equipment management expertise.
• Demonstrated end‑to‑end project delivery covering planning, installation, commissioning, clinical handover and de‑commissioning.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence senior stakeholders nationwide.
