Head of Legal Practice - Estate Administration Lawyer

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to lead a fast‑growing estate administration practice. You will take full responsibility for a high‑volume portfolio while influencing strategy at board level.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all estate administration activity across the firm.
• Manage a personal caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Supervise and support junior team members, ensuring compliance with best practice.
• Sit on the management board alongside senior leadership.
• Implement and maintain policies, procedures and case management systems.
• Liaise with third parties, including asset holders and HMRC.
• Manage inheritance tax and full estate administration processes.

Required profile

• Qualified under CLC, SRA or CILEX in Probate & Estate Administration.
• Minimum 18 months’ experience supervising junior staff.
• Strong background in estate administration and private client work.
• Proven ability to drive compliance, policies and procedures.
• Self‑starter with a desire to lead and progress within a growing organisation.
