About the role
We are seeking an experienced litigator to head our Litigation Department. This senior position will oversee a diverse caseload, shape department strategy, and drive team growth.
Key responsibilities
- Manage commercial disputes including contracts, shareholder/director issues, commercial property, and High Court/County Court work.
- Handle civil litigation such as property disputes, possession claims, professional negligence, contract/tort matters, probate-related claims, and enforcement.
- Define department strategy, set performance and financial targets, and monitor results.
- Develop and supervise the team, conduct quarterly reviews, and foster professional growth.
- Lead business development, marketing initiatives, and cross‑referrals with other practice areas.
- Ensure compliance, improve processes, and maintain high‑quality client service.
Required profile
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent).
- Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience in commercial litigation.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, or clear readiness to step up.
- Strong commercial awareness and solid financial understanding.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities.
