Head of Operations, Procurement & Contracts

About the role

The Head of Operations, Procurement & Contracts will lead the organisation's operational services, procurement, contract management and facilities functions. Reporting to the CFO, this senior leader will ensure that support services are compliant, efficient and aligned with strategic priorities while driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operations, procurement, contract management and facilities functions across the organisation.
• Manage supplier contracts and procurement activity for operational services.
• Drive value for money, efficiency improvements and sustainable resource management.
• Oversee capital projects, refurbishments and estate development programmes.
• Support business continuity planning and major incident response.
• Manage operational budgets and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Develop performance reporting, metrics and operational insights.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in operations, procurement, contracts and facilities.
• Proven experience managing supplier contracts and external service providers.
• Strong understanding of governance, compliance and risk management.
• Experience overseeing facilities and estate services.
• Strong financial and budget management skills.
• Track record of leading service improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience.
