Head of People

About the role

We are seeking a strategic HR leader who is passionate about delivering positive outcomes for people and helping them thrive. As Head of People you will drive the People agenda across Citizens Advice Scotland and its 59 local bureaux, shaping a culture where staff feel valued and empowered.

Key responsibilities

• Build a culture that aligns with our values and ensures decisions and interactions are person‑centred, inclusive, collaborative, empowering and supportive.
• Support our people to deliver advice and insight that changes lives by ensuring the right policies, procedures, training and support are in place.
• Champion the value that people bring to the network and ensure people drive our decision‑making.

Required profile

• A degree and/or equivalent qualification in HR, or comparable experience.
• Proven experience of leading and managing a professional HR function.
• Experience of planning and implementing a people strategy, cultural change or people charter.
• Ability to manage complex people and organisational issues that could significantly impact the workforce.
• Motivating, enthusiastic and able to challenge appropriately in line with CAS values, with a collaborative approach across networks.
