Head of Planning – Media Agency

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Planning to lead the media planning function for a leading integrated media agency in London. You will shape the planning vision, champion best practice, and ensure high‑quality strategic output across a diverse portfolio of national and international brands.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the agency’s media planning strategy and methodology.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders in strategy, activation, data and creative to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing planning teams.
• Support new‑business pitches and commercial planning activities.
• Identify and adopt emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance planning processes.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in media planning within an agency environment.
• Extensive knowledge of offline and digital media channels.
• Strong commercial awareness and a track record of supporting business growth.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
