About the role
Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking an experienced Podiatrist or Orthotist to lead its Podiatry and Orthotics services across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. The role combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure safe, sustainable and inclusive care for diverse rural and coastal communities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership and accountability for all Podiatry and Orthotics services.
- Shape and develop service models to meet local and national health priorities.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities and community organisations.
- Oversee recruitment, workforce planning and staff development to maintain a skilled and engaged team.
- Ensure compliance with NHS policies and monitor service performance for continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Qualified podiatrist or orthotist with several years of clinical experience.
- Demonstrated senior leadership within an Allied Health or health‑science setting.
- Commitment to person‑centred, outcome‑driven care.
- Ability to work across multiple sites and rural environments.
