Head of Private Client Department (Senior Solicitor)

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is looking for an experienced senior solicitor to lead its Private Client Department in West Sussex. You will manage a busy team while maintaining your own client portfolio and supporting the firm’s growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a Private Client team of 12 staff, including 7 fee earners.
• Oversee the delivery of wills, estate planning, probate, trusts and Court of Protection matters.
• Maintain a personal caseload of private client work.
• Drive business development and marketing activities for the department.
• Provide strategic guidance and commercial insight to senior partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in Private Client law.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• STEP qualification or working towards it (highly desirable).
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills.
• Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
