Head of Procurement

About the role

The Head of Procurement is a senior member of the Extended Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the Divisional Director of Legal & Commercial. This role leads the strategic planning, delivery and management of procurement across two companies, ensuring compliance with legislative and financial frameworks while supporting organisational transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement conditions of service, policies and procedures related to procurement and HR functions.
• Ensure the procurement function complies with planning, legislative and financial requirements.
• Develop, monitor and review the procurement strategy aligned with the organisation’s overall strategy.
• Create and maintain effective systems for procurement, contracting and contract management.
• Oversee procurement activities within defined financial frameworks.
• Participate in business change initiatives and business case development.
• Foster relationships with members and subsidiaries to provide supplies and services.
• Lead, supervise and develop procurement teams, ensuring appropriate deployment and adherence to the code of conduct.
• Manage and communicate strategic and operational plans.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, financial frameworks and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver best value.
• Experience managing organisational transformation and business change projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
