Head of Procurement

About the role

Perch Group is seeking a senior procurement leader to own and mature the Group’s end‑to‑end procurement and supplier management function. You will operate in a fast‑paced, FCA and SRA regulated environment, ensuring every third‑party arrangement delivers commercial value while meeting strict legal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Group‑wide procurement strategy aligned with business, legal and regulatory objectives.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities, including RFP creation, supplier due‑diligence, commercial negotiation and contract finalisation across technology, professional services, legal, facilities and outsourced operations.
• Partner with Group Legal and Risk to manage all legal and commercial contracting, ensuring compliance with FCA, SRA and Consumer Duty requirements.
• Maintain a comprehensive procurement manual, supplier governance framework and performance monitoring system.
• Drive cost efficiency, value‑for‑money and innovation while embedding ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, Operations and IT to align procurement with business priorities.

Required profile

• Significant procurement or commercial management experience within UK financial services, preferably in FCA and SRA regulated organisations.
• Proven ability to lead procurement across a complex, multi‑entity business structure.
• Strong legal and commercial contracting expertise, including negotiation of MSAs, NDAs, SoWs and outsourcing agreements.
• Deep understanding of FCA SYSC 8, Consumer Duty and related regulatory frameworks.
