Head of Quality and Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Quality and Compliance to lead and develop the quality function across a diverse consumer product portfolio. This senior position offers real ownership, visibility and influence, working closely with senior leadership and global teams to embed best practice and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure products comply with UK, EU and international regulations.
• Manage technical documentation and product safety standards.
• Oversee audits, inspections and supplier compliance programmes.
• Drive improvements across the quality management system.
• Support sourcing and supply‑chain teams with compliance risk assessments.
• Lead certification processes, including FSC audits.
• Manage and develop a small quality and compliance team.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects to shape processes as the business grows.

Required profile

• Strong background in quality and compliance within consumer products.
• Experience across regulated categories such as hardlines, gifting or FMCG.
• Proven ability to manage audits, certifications and supplier standards.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross‑functionally.
• Detail‑oriented with a practical, solutions‑focused approach.
