About the role

This is a rare opportunity to lead a market‑leading residential conveyancing team within a full‑service practice based in the historic city of Chester. As the most senior solicitor in the department you will shape strategy, drive growth and ensure the highest standards of client service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Residential Conveyancing department and set its strategic direction.
• Manage and develop a team of eight fee‑earning solicitors and junior staff.
• Oversee the delivery of residential property transactions, ensuring compliance and high client satisfaction.
• Drive business growth through client relationship management and service excellence.
• Ensure timely completion of transactions and accurate documentation.
• Maintain and develop client relationships to generate repeat business.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven managerial experience within a property law environment.
• Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing processes and legislation.
• Demonstrable ability to lead and motivate a legal team.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
