Head of Residential Property – Lead Conveyancing Team

About the role

Our client, a well‑established law firm in Luton, is seeking a Head of Residential Property to lead and develop its residential conveyancing department. This senior position offers the chance to shape strategy, mentor a team of solicitors, and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor the Residential Property team, fostering professional development.
• Manage a diverse caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales, transfers of equity, remortgages and new‑build transactions.
• Generate new business through networking, client development and referral relationships.
• Maintain exceptional client service standards and nurture relationships with clients, estate agents, brokers and other referrers.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in Residential Property.
• Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of residential conveyancing.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience, or a clear ambition to step into a leadership role.
• Excellent communication, client‑care and business‑development abilities.
