Head of Sales

About the role

Reed is seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead its international sales function. You will guide a sales team, work closely with marketing and product colleagues, and travel abroad to develop new market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day guidance, mentoring, coaching and performance management for the sales team.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align objectives and drive cohesive strategies.
• Analyse sales data to identify buying patterns, growth opportunities and report progress to senior management.
• Research foreign markets, understand cultural and legal differences, and identify trends and challenges.
• Negotiate contracts with international partners and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Track sales performance, produce regular reports and present insights to senior leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with international clients and distributors, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing sales teams and delivering results.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and market research.
• Experience working with distributors and selling internationally.
• Ability to collaborate across functions such as marketing and product.
• Willingness to travel internationally and hold a valid passport.
