About the role
We are seeking an experienced sales and marketing leader to head KnowledgeBrief’s Sales division. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will oversee apprenticeship sales, commercial training sales, outreach, client development and marketing, driving growth across both funded apprenticeships and fee‑paying training programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and align the Sales division, integrating apprenticeship and commercial training sales with marketing and outreach initiatives.
- Build on existing apprenticeship programmes while creating demand pipelines for new commercial training offers.
- Coach and develop Sales Managers and direct reports, fostering strategic thinking and capability.
- Monitor pipeline health, conversion rates, revenue forecasts and use insights to remove performance barriers.
- Coordinate marketing and sales activities through targeted campaigns, clear propositions and purposeful events.
- Adapt to changes in employer demand, apprenticeship funding and market conditions, identifying new opportunities.
- Champion consultative sales conversations that balance employer needs, learner suitability and funding requirements.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure delivery capacity aligns with growth and maintains high‑quality learner experiences.
Required profile
- Proven track record of leading sales and delivering growth in the education and training sector, with experience in both apprenticeships and fee‑paying commercial training.
- Demonstrated ability to develop managers and teams through coaching, clear expectations and performance management.
- Experience integrating sales and marketing to reach target audiences and convert interest into lasting client relationships.
- Strong analytical capability to translate strategy into action using sales data, market insight and financial judgement.
- Ability to build demand for new programmes or services and to navigate enterprise, SME or public‑sector markets.
