Health and Safety Administrator

About the role

The Health and Safety Administrator will act as the bridge between high‑level governance and day‑to‑day operational safety within a leading division. You will ensure continuous compliance with UK legislation, support audit processes and drive a proactive safety culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous adherence to UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Conduct regular internal audits and prepare for external inspections.
• Manage the end‑to‑end risk assessment process and keep Health & Safety Plans and Method Statements up to date.
• Lead post‑incident investigations, identify root causes and implement preventative actions.
• Oversee GDPR compliance, corporate governance and sustainability reporting (Scope 1‑3).
• Control PPE management, asset tracking, purchase orders, site access and work permits.
• Produce analytical reports for senior leadership and provide administrative support to the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards.
• Understanding of sustainability metrics and Scope 1‑3 emissions.
• High attention to detail for audit‑trail management.
• Ability to influence safety culture across diverse teams.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
