Health and Social Care Lecturer – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Health and Social Care Lecturer to join a thriving further‑education college in Leeds. You will deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of levels, helping students acquire the knowledge and skills required for successful careers in health and social care.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners up to Level 6.
• Develop engaging schemes of learning and high‑quality teaching resources.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress.
• Supervise practical activities, placements and work‑based learning.
• Promote student wellbeing and positive behaviour.
• Contribute to curriculum innovation and continuous improvement.
• Engage in professional development and build external partnerships.

Required profile

• PGCE, Certificate of Education or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant industry experience in health and social care.
• Proven experience teaching across multiple levels.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of assessment requirements.
• Ability to inspire and motivate learners.
• Collaborative, innovative mindset with high expectations.

• Competence in using technology for teaching and assessment.
