Health Improvement Senior – Gambling Harms (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Health Improvement Senior will lead the development and delivery of a gambling‑harms prevention programme for East Dunbartonshire. Working from Kirkintilloch Health & Care Centre, you will collaborate with health, social care, third‑sector and community partners to embed gambling‑harm awareness into services and reduce related inequalities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement health‑improvement work streams aligned with national, regional and local strategies.
• Ensure all work streams are sensitive to health inequalities and evidence‑based.
• Support and develop partnerships to secure sustainable funding for existing and new initiatives.
• Chair meetings, participate in forums and committees, and provide senior leadership for health‑improvement delivery.
• Contribute to the design, coordination and implementation of health‑improvement frameworks across partnerships, primary care and HSCP.
• Manage risk for assigned work areas and monitor implementation outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public health and health‑improvement programmes.
• Strong partnership working and community‑based approach.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate, engage stakeholders and deliver outcome‑focused projects.
• Knowledge of health inequalities, prevention strategies and working across statutory and third‑sector partners.
• Experience of gambling‑harms or related public‑health issues is desirable.
