Health Insurance Broker – PMI & Employee Benefits

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurance brokerage in North London to recruit a senior Health Insurance Broker specialising in Private Medical Insurance (PMI) and employee benefits. You will manage a portfolio worth approximately £3 million GWP, driving growth and delivering expert advice to both SME and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a book of business valued at around £3 million GWP.
• Handle 15‑25 policy renewals each month, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects.
• Provide detailed market reviews and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
• Present insurer propositions, underwriting criteria and pricing structures to clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a PMI broker, dealing with SME renewals.
• At least 3 years overall experience in health or private medical insurance.
• Proven ability to work independently as an adviser rather than support staff.
• Comfortable discussing complex insurance products with both group schemes and private individuals.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of private medical insurance products and market dynamics.
• Understanding of underwriting guidelines, pricing rules and insurer propositions.
• Strong presentation and client‑facing communication abilities.
