Health & Safety Advisor – Construction Sector

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a friendly, smaller team based in London. The role is hybrid, combining client site visits across the construction sector with remote work. You will provide practical safety advice, help clients achieve compliance and support their ongoing health and safety needs.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular construction site inspections and produce clear, detailed reports.
• Identify hazards, recommend improvements and support corrective actions.
• Act as the designated Competent Person, answering client queries and providing ongoing consultancy.
• Develop and deliver health and safety training for client staff.
• Keep clients informed of legislative changes and best‑practice guidance.
• Support non‑construction clients with audits, document reviews and accident investigations.

Required profile

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – additional NEBOSH Construction or Fire desirable.
• Proven experience in a health and safety advisory role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of UK health and safety regulations and the ability to interpret them for clients.
