Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading consultancy that supports construction and commercial clients. In this client‑facing position you will provide practical health and safety guidance, conduct site inspections and help businesses stay compliant with legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections and audits across client locations, identifying hazards and recommending improvements.
• Produce detailed inspection reports and monitor corrective actions to ensure timely implementation.
• Act as a designated Competent Person, offering day‑to‑day health and safety advice and responding to client queries.
• Support clients in achieving and maintaining health and safety accreditations, reviewing risk assessments, method statements, policies and procedures.
• Deliver health and safety training, toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture.
• Investigate accidents and incidents when required and assist with the development of management systems.

Required profile

• NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience providing health and safety advice to construction or commercial clients.
• Ability to act as a Competent Person and manage client relationships effectively.
• Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
