Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to join our fantastic team in the Scotland East region. The role provides regional support to the Divisional SHE Director in implementing and supervising the company’s Safety, Health and Environmental policy, ensuring a healthy and safe environment for all employees and workers engaged on company business.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, develop and implement SHE systems to ensure the highest standards, performance and compliance.
• Provide support and advice to the region and represent regional management in discussions with employees and external organisations on SHE matters.
• Support the development of health & safety management capability within the region by improving the skills and knowledge of Miller personnel.
• Carry out site visits and audits to ensure compliance with specified procedures and standards.

Required profile

• Experience working in a similar role, ideally within the housebuilding or wider construction sector.
• NEBOSH certification (or equivalent).
• Experience in carrying out audits, accident investigation and liaison with relevant statutory bodies.
• A natural leader possessing integrity, presence, drive, determination and enthusiasm.
