Health & Safety Director

About the role

We are seeking a senior Health & Safety Director to shape the safety strategy of a fast‑growing international construction contractor. You will influence policy, drive cultural change and support multiple high‑profile projects across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) strategy.
• Provide HSE guidance and support to project teams on a range of construction sites.
• Champion improvements in safety culture, behavioural safety and operational performance.
• Represent the business with clients, stakeholders and industry bodies.

Required profile

• Significant experience within a major construction contractor.
• Strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation and management systems.
• NEBOSH qualification and Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
• Proven ability to manage and develop large HSE teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.

• Expertise in UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience with HSE management system implementation.
