Health & Safety Insurance Advisor

About the role

Superdrug is looking for a proactive Health & Safety Insurance Advisor to join its Head Office in Croydon. You will provide insurance and safety advice to employees, manage a range of claims and support the Insurance Manager and Safety Team in meeting departmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide insurance and safety guidance in line with company policy and current legislation.
• Manage day‑to‑day handling of product, employee and public personal injury claims, liaising with stores, insurers and solicitors.
• Investigate claims, gather documentation and assess liability, ensuring legal deadlines are met.
• Handle property and motor claims, supporting risk‑management solutions.
• Offer rehabilitation support to employees after workplace accidents.
• Attend meetings with solicitors, brokers and insurers to maintain effective claims defence processes.
• Advise Customer Service and People Teams on customer accident complaints.
• Monitor legislative changes and update the Safety Handbook on the intranet.
• Conduct Display Screen Equipment assessments for Head Office staff as required.

Required profile

• Experience in insurance claims handling, preferably within a retail or corporate environment.
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and insurance regulations.
• Strong analytical and investigative abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
